Moto3 Sachsenring, Free Practice 2: Alex Rins in the lead
Salom and Vazquez follow, Baldassarri 8th is the best of the Italians
The riders of the Moto3 class closed the second free practice session at the Sachsenring, scene of the German Grand Prix, eighth stage of the 2013 world championship. The fastest of this round was Alex Rins, riding the KTM of Team Estrella Galicia 0,0, 1. The Spanish driver was the author of a great lap, closing with a time of 27.208:333, a time that allowed him right at the end of the session to put himself XNUMX thousandths behind world leader Luis Salom, the fastest this morning.
Behind the two KTMs we find the Mahindra of Efren Vazquez, however one second off the top. Rider #7 who lapped in 1:28.212 was behind his two Vinales cousins, in order Isaac and Maverick. The rider of Team Ongetta-Centro Seta was therefore very good, riding an FTR Honda and finishing ahead of Team Calvo's KTM.
Sixth time for the home rider Jonas Folger, riding the Kalex KTM of Team Aspar. The German precedes Alex Marquez (Marc's brother, Repsol Honda MotoGP rider) and our Lorenzo Baldassarri, author of excellent tests, finishing a few tenths away from third place.
Closing out the Top Ten are Australian Jack Miller and Mahindra's Portuguese Miguel Oliveira. Difficult session for Romano Fenati and Niccolò Antonelli. The former broke the chain of his FTR Honda and was unable to turn in the final minutes (he finished twelfth), while the Team Gresini rider had to find the right feeling again after two falls. In the end he is twenty-second and immediately behind Alessandro Tonucci.
