Moto3 Sachsenring: Best qualifying of the year for Matteo Ferrari

Matteo Ferrari was the author of the best qualifying of the year. The San Carlo Team Italia driver brought his Mahindra close to the Top Ten. His time of 1'27"926 brings him significantly closer to the top, given that the gap is less than a second. Here's what he said at the end of qualifying.

“A good qualifying, I'm quite happy. We are fourteenth on the grid and really just a whisker away from the top-10, albeit with a hint of regret. Unfortunately, just when I was improving my time it started to rain: too bad, that time could have brought me even closer to the top 10. In any case we worked well, after the crash without consequences this morning we were able to further refine the fine-tuning by finding a good compromise over the race distance. We don't encounter any type of problem with the tires, this is confirmed by the analysis of the pace where we don't struggle to keep a good pace for the 27 laps of the race. This makes me confident ahead of tomorrow, we can do well.”
