Moto3 2015 Phillip Island QP – Stefano Manzi confirmed in qualifying the excellent form demonstrated during testing for the Australian Grand Prix. With a time of 1'37″ 224, he actually managed to get into 16th position, with a delay of just over a second from the leader and very close to the first equalizer.
Further back Manuel Pagliani who finished in 34th place (1'38"503) also due to a fall at the end of the session.

“I am very happy – he declared Stefano manzi – our best qualifying of the season. We worked well with the team throughout the weekend, as demonstrated by the fact that we had already performed at good levels this morning, rediscovering the right feeling after yesterday's crash. Sixteenth place is a good placement to be able to repeat ourselves tomorrow: it's a group race, but I have the pace to be able to stay there and get an important result for the whole team."

“Unfortunately the qualification didn't go the right way – he explained Manuel Pagliani – and we find ourselves forced to start backwards. We are still looking for the optimal setup, so with the team we will do everything to find a solution tomorrow to ride as I like. Furthermore, at the end of qualifying I slipped at turn 6, losing precious time, which did not allow me to improve a position on the grid which does not reflect our actual potential."
