Moto3 Motegi Warm Up: Syahrin is the fastest
Warm Up shortened and race reduced to 15 laps
GP Japan Moto2 Warm Up – With the time lost in the Warm Up in the Moto3 class due to the oil left on the track by Andrea Migno's KTM, that of the Moto2 class was shortened, which saw the riders take to the track for a 15 minute session. As a result, the race was also shortened to 15 laps.
On the wet asphalt of Motegi the fastest was the Malaysian Hafizh Syahrin, who took the Kalex of Team Petronas Raceline Malaysia into the lead with a time of 2:06.905.
Second time for Sandro Cortese, also on a Kalex, but from Team Dynavolt Intact GP, who preceded the Portuguese from KTM Miguel Oliveria and our Francesco Bagnaia on KTM from Team Sky VR46.
Alex Marquez is fifth and ahead of team-mate Franco Morbidelli; the latter is followed by the Japanese Tetsuta Nagashima and his Forward Racing compatriots Luca Marini and Lorenzo Baldassarri. Thomas Luthi closes the Top Ten.
The other Italians are Andrea Locatelli eighteenth, Simone Corsi twenty-first, Stefano Manzi twenty-second and Mattia Pasini twenty-sixth.
