Moto3 2015 Motegi QP: not one of the best qualifications for Enea Bastianini who, with a time of 1'56”927, took 5th place on the starting grid of the Japanese Grand Prix in Motegi. This time still puts him ahead of Danny Kent, even if only by one place, with the aim of canceling the Englishman's first match point in the championship.
Extremely difficult day for Andrea Locatelli who, having just returned from his coccyx injury, did no better than 35th position (1'59”889).

“I am satisfied with the result obtained in qualifying – he commented Enea Bastianini – given how it went during free practice, I didn't expect it. Unfortunately, yesterday's and this morning's crashes didn't allow us to do many laps and what's more, now I find myself with a slightly sore shoulder, which creates some problems for me when riding, especially when braking on left-hand corners. However, I don't think I will have major problems over the race distance, even if it's too early to say. Some riders have a better pace than me ahead of the race, but there is still time to try and shave off a few tenths: tomorrow we will try to do our best to recover more points in the standings from Kent and possibly not lose any on Oliveira."

“Today in qualifying – he explained Andrea Locatelli – despite the physical problems I was managing to do a decent lap, but in the last chicane I encountered a group of riders who were proceeding slowly and I was forced to slow down, losing a lot of time. Rain is forecast tomorrow and the wet conditions could help me, as I can't be very aggressive on the bike; in any case, even if it will be dry, I will take tomorrow's race as an opportunity to get back into the rhythm over the distance. I will try to force myself to finish the race while remaining as focused as possible, even though I know it will be hard because after 5 consecutive laps I start to struggle. I'm certainly also paying for the fact that I haven't been able to train and consequently I'm not physically fit; I don't feel any pain, but I still can't move on the bike as I would like and I struggle to turn. However, by continuing to ride I think I can slowly improve."
