Moto3 Jerez, Qualifying: Pole position for Alex Rins
Second pole of 2013 for the Spaniard, Antonelli 6th is the best of the Italians
The pole position of the “Gran Premio bwin de Espana” Moto3 class went to Alex Rins, rider of Team Estrella Galicia 0,0. The Spaniard achieved it with a time of 1:46.660 and this is his second pole of the season, after the one achieved in Austin, the third of his career if we consider last year's one obtained right here in Jerez. Compatriots Maverick Vinales and Luis Salom will start in the front row with him, both on KTM, the former from Team Calvo, the latter from Team Red Bull Ajo, 485 and 667 thousandths behind respectively.
Brad Binder and Jack Miller did well, achieving the fourth and fifth times respectively and who will start from the second row together with our Niccolò Antonelli, rider of the GO&FUN Gresini Moto3 Team who rides an FTR Honda.
Seventh time and third row for Jonas Folger. The German rider from Team Aspar precedes the Finnish Niklas Ajo and the Czech Jakub Kornfeil in the time rankings. Efren Vazquez, with Mahindra, closes the Top Ten.
Romano Fenati finished qualifying in eighteenth position and tomorrow it will be difficult to repeat last year's splendid race, which gave him his first victory in Moto3. The San Carlo Team Italia rider is in fact 1"958 from the top and ahead of Iwema and Eric Granado.
The other Italians are Francesco "Pecco" Bagnaia twenty-third and just ahead of Ana Carrasco, the only rider of the fairer sex on the track, Alessandro Tonucci twenty-seventh and Matteo Ferrari thirty-second. Fall for Lorenzo Baldassarri, the rider of the GO&FUN Gresini Moto3 team got up with pain in his left hand.
