Moto3 Jerez: Enea Bastianini, “Satisfied with the set-up with used tires”

Moto3 Jerez 2015 Day 1 – The Gresini Racing Team's work on harmony continues with the new Honda NSF250RW by Enea Bastianini. The Rimini rider in fact dedicated the first day on the Jerez de la Frontera circuit to fine-tuning his bike, concluding with the 10th combined time (1'47"886). At the end of today's sessions he said he was satisfied with the work done, in particular with Honda's responses on the race pace with used tyres. Tomorrow will be focused on finding feeling, particularly in the fast corners.

“In the afternoon shift – he said Enea Bastianini – I found myself at ease with the used tyres: I always set good times and even when the bike started to move a little more I noticed that I could manage it easily. With the new tires I struggled more, we could definitely have achieved a better lap time, but overall we are satisfied. At the moment our gap from the leaders is six tenths: tomorrow we will try to improve especially in sectors 3 and 4 of the track, because today we tried a change that didn't give me much confidence in the fast corners. If we manage to progress in this area I think we can get closer, while as regards braking and slow corners I'm already happy."
