Moto3 | Thailand GP FP2: Sasaki at the top, Antonelli is fourth
The Japanese driver preceded Kornfeil and Rodrigo, Martin nineteenth
Moto3 Gp Buriram Free Practice 2 – Ayumu Sasaki set the best time in the FP2 of the Moto3 class of the Thai Grand Prix.
The Petronas Sprinta Racing Team rider brought his Honda ahead of everyone with a time of 1:43.468, a time that allowed him to beat the Czech Jakub Kornfeil by just 11 thousandths, aboard the Redox PruestelGP KTM, who this morning was was the fastest.
Third time for Gabriel Rodrigo (KTM Rba Boe Skull Rider), who preceded our Niccolò Antonelli (Honda SIC58 Squadra Corse) and Fabio Di Giannantonio (Honda Gresini), separated by 0.052s and 0.098s respectively.
Tatsuki Suzuki (Honda Sic58 Squadra Corse) recorded the sixth fastest time ahead of Adam Norrodin (Honda Petronas Sprinta Racing) and John McPhee (KTM Cip – Green Power), with the latter responsible for a crash at the end of the session which also involved the innocent Vicente Perez (KTM Reale Avintia Academy 77).
Closing out the Top Ten are Tony Arbolino (Honda Snipers) and local wild card and CEV driver, Somkiat Chantra.
Nicolò Bulega, KTM Sky VR46 is eleventh, ahead of Marco Bezzecchi (KTM Pruestel GP), with the "Bez" who in the world standings is 13 points behind Jorge Martin (Honda Gresini), who closed FP2 in nineteenth position , ahead of Enea Bastianini (Honda Leopard).
