Moto3 | Thailand GP FP1: Kornfeil takes the first session, Bezzecchi in the slipstream

Moto3 Gp Buriram Free Practice 1 – With the first Moto3 session, the Buriram circuit officially debuts, where the Thailand GP will take place on Sunday, the fifteenth stage of the 2018 MotoGP.

It was a very hot session which put the performance of the tires to the test, in addition to this, except for rare exceptions, it was a learning session, since almost all the drivers and teams do not know the track, having never been there turned.

At the end of 45 minutes, Jakub Kornfeil, on the KTM of the PruestelGP team, won FP1, stopping the time at 1:43.692.

The Czech rider preceded his teammate, Marco Bezzecchi and the Honda of Lorenzo Dalla Porta (Leopard).

Fourth time for Dennis Foggia (Sky Racing Team VR46), half a second behind the top but ahead of his teammate, Nicolò Bulega, who crashed at the start of the session, fortunately without consequences.

Sixth place was Marcos Ramirez who preceded Tony Arbolino (Marinelli Snipers) and the local wild card and CEV driver, Somkiat Chantra. Philipp Oettl and Kazuki Masaki complete the top ten.

Excellent thirteenth time for Stefano Nepa (CIP), while Enea Bastianini (Leopard) only finished sixteenth.

The world championship leader, Jorge Martin (Gresini Racing) was unable to do better than the sixteenth time.

Twentieth Niccolò Antonelli (SIC58 Squadra Corse) preceded Fabio di Giannantonio (Gresini Racing).
