The damp track and the many crashes affected the session
Moto3 French GP Qualifying – John McPhee wins the pole of the Moto3 class French Grand Prix, fifth stage of the 2019 MotoGP.
The British driver of the Petronas team, after overcoming the Q1 trap, stopped the time in the second round at 1:42.277, ahead of Tony Arbolino (Snipers) and Ai Ogura.
Tatsuki Suzuki opens the second row, ahead of Garbriel Rodirgo (Gresini), Marcos Ramirez and Niccolò Antonelli (SIC58 Squadra Corse), who crashed during the session.
Eighth time for Raul Fernadez ahead of Kaito Toba and Sergio Garcia. With the Estrella Galicia team driver penalized by twelve positions due to a penalty received during FP3.
World championship leader Aron Canet (Max Racing Team), with the bike in mourning for the passing of Max Biaggi's father, will start thirteenth.
Eleventh time, therefore Andrea Migno will start from the tenth spot, while Romano Fenati will start from the twelfth. Lorenzo Dalla Porta (Leopard), who crashed at the end, will start fifteenth. Far away is Dennis Foggia (Sky Racing Team VR46) who will start 17th. Celestino Vietti (Sky Racing Team VR46) was unable to overcome the Q1 trap and will start twentieth.
