Moto3 | GP Le Mans FP1: Martin at the top, Migno, Arbolino, Bastianini and Bezzecchi good

Moto3 French GP Free Practice 1 – As usual, the riders of the Moto3 class opened the "dances" of the 2018 MotoGP race weekend, which this time stops in Le Mans, the scene of the fifth round of the season.

The sun is shining on the French track and the forecast says that it should always be sunny over the weekend. This morning it was 11.6° in the air, while on the asphalt we struggled to reach 13°.

Our Fabio Di Giannantonio and Lorenzo Dalla Porta paid the price for these low temperatures at the start of the session, both on Honda, the former from Team Gresini, the latter from Team Leopard. For them there are no physical consequences, but only work for the mechanics to fix the bikes.

The best time of these Free Practice 1 went to the Spaniard Jorge Martin, who stopped the clock on the Honda with a time of 1:43.114.

The Team Gresini rider preceded the Czech Jakub Kornfeil by 0.165s, who in turn is ahead of the "Italian patrol", made up of Andrea Migno (KTM Angel Nieto Team), Tony Arbolino (Honda Marinelli Snipers), Enea Bastianini (Honda Leopard) and Marco Bezzecchi (KTM PruestelGP).

John McPhee, Philipp Oettl, Gabriel Rodrigo and Tatsuki Suzuki close the Top Ten. Lorenzo Dalla Porta finished thirteenth, ahead of his Team KTM Sky VR46 compatriot Dennis Foggia.

Seventeenth and twentieth times for Nicolò Bulega (KTM Sky VR46) and Niccolò Antonelli (SIC58 Squadra Corse).

Of note at the end of the session was the bad fall of Ayumu Sasaki, who lost control of his Honda while accelerating, resulting in a high-side. The Japanese rider who appears to have suffered a problem with his left leg was taken away on a stretcher.
