Moto3 GP Catalonia Race – Marcos Ramirez wins the Catalan Grand Prix in the Moto3 class, seventh stage of the 2019 MotoGP. In the last twelve races there have been 12 different winners.

Rodrigo starts well from pole, but already at the first braking point Arbolino takes the lead of the race followed by Lorenzo Dalla Porta. A few corners later, Aron Canet takes the lead in the race.

The first twist came just after 3 laps when Dalla Porta was forced to retire due to a technical problem while he was leading the race. McPhee and Binder take advantage of this and take the lead.

In the following laps, many crashes took out several protagonists, however allowing the leading group to regroup and with 14 riders fighting for the victory.

After Dalla Porta, Tony Arbolino was also forced to retire due to a technical problem while he was leading. Shortly afterwards Masia was also forced to retire due to a crash.

Starting from 27th position, Niccolò Antonelli managed to move up to the leaders with six laps to go, putting himself in the fight for the podium.

The race, already very close, heats up in the last three laps. Antonelli makes mistakes and loses positions, but up front the fight for victory is a continuous succession of overtaking. In the final corners the race leader, Kaito Toba, falls, leaving the path clear for his pursuers.

The race was decided only under the checkered flag with Marcos Ramirez (Leopard) crossing the finish line first ahead of Aron Canet (Max Racing Team) and Celestino Vietti (Sky Racing Team VR46) who recovered 18 positions.

Alonso Lopez (Estrella Galicia) narrowly misses out on the podium, ahead of Dennis Foggia (Sky Racing Team VR46), author of an incredible comeback (he started last).

Oi Ogura finishes in sixth position ahead of Romano Fenati (Snipers) and Auyumi Sasaki. Jakub Kornfeil completes the top ten.

Niccolò Antonelli (SIC58 Squadra Corse) finished in eleventh position, after an incredible comeback but also with two errors. Riccardo Rossi (Gresini) finished in 17th position.

With the podium and the falls of his main opponents, Aron Canet extends his lead in the standings to +23 on Dalla Porta and +28 on Antonelli.
