Moto3 Brno, QP: Binder mocks Migno, Bastianini also on the front row
Second row for Fabio Di Giannantonio and Nicolò Bulega, third for Niccolò Antonelli
GP Czech Republic Moto3 Qualifying – The pole position of the Moto3 class Czech Republic Grand Prix went to Brad Binder (KTM Ajo Motorsport), who outwitted our Andrea Migno (KTM Sky VR46) right under the checkered flag.
The leader of the championship standings achieved his third pole of the year after those obtained in Argentina and Barcelona. Binder lapped in 2:07.785, at 0.158s Andrea Migno, followed by Enea Bastianini, who closes the front row. Bastianini had also done a faster lap of 2:08.042, but on the "good" lap he put his wheels off the curb and consequently his lap was cancelled.
The second row also features Italian colours. Fabio Di Giannantonio (Honda Gresini) is fifth, behind Jorge Martin and ahead of rookie Nicolò Bulega (Sky VR46).
Niccolò Antonelli (Honda Ongetta Rivacold) also did well, still struggling with the broken collarbone suffered at the Sachsenring and setting the seventh fastest time, ahead of Philipp Oettl and Aron Canet.
Francesco Bagnaia finished with the seventeenth time, but his qualification was ruined by a fall, which occurred while "Pecco" was fighting for pole position. Enea Bastianini also fell and, like Bagnaia, suffered no physical consequences.
