Moto3 Brno, Free Practice 3: Cortese ahead of Vinales

Third and final free practice session for the riders of the Moto3 class in Brno, where the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic will take place on Sunday. Thirty-two riders on track, in fact the injured Alan Techer and our Riccardo Moretti did not take part in the sessions they also missed Free Practice 2 due to two separate falls (ours hit Alberto Moncayo, damaging his neck ligaments and breaking 2 ribs).

The fastest of these Free Practice 3 was the world championship leader Sandro Cortese who stopped the clock at a time of 2'08.372, a time practically identical to the one recorded by the German last year in the 125cc race (he had lapped in 2'08.365 and it was the fastest lap).

Behind the KTM rider were Maverick Vinales (FTR Honda Team Blusens Avintia) and Danny Kent, Cortese's team-mate in Team Red Bull Ajo and who paid 77 and 524 thousandths respectively.

Further behind the others with the Malaysian Zulfahmi Khairuddin, also on a KTM but from Team AirAsia-Sic-Ajo, at 1.106. Khairuddin precedes the home rider Jakub Kornfeil, the German Jonas Folger (in his second race with the Kalex KTM of Team Aspar) and the first of the Italian riders, our Alessandro Tonucci on the FTR Honda of Team Italia FMI. His teammate Romano Fenati is 10th, while the other Italians are Niccolò Antonelli 18th, Luigi Morciano 25th, Michael Ruben Rinaldi 30th and Armando Pontone 32nd.
