Race report

Martin starts very well from pole, but from behind Atiratphuvapat immediately tries to take the lead, but comes wide at the first braking point. Bendsneyder also started well and managed to stay in second position, followed by Mir and a rampant Suzuki.

At the end of the first lap Martin and Bendsneyder dig a small gap from their pursuers. Behind there is an open fight for fifth position, between Norrodin and Fenati.

On the second lap Martin dictates the pace again, while the group regroups behind, with Fenati managing to climb up to fourth position.

With 19 laps to go, Di Giannantonio and Bastianini crashed, both riders ok. In the meantime, the group of 6 regrouped at the front, with Martin's mistake before the end of the lap. Fenati takes advantage of this and takes the lead. But Bendsneyder doesn't give up and responds with overtaking after overtaking.

With 17 laps to go, Fenati took advantage of the battles behind him between Bendsneyder and Mir to take a small advantage.

With 15 laps to go, Fenati remains in the lead, but the group behind him doesn't give up on him, Martin is also back in the fight for the top positions after the mistake. It doesn't take long for the Gresini team driver to take the lead again, with a movie-record overtaking move.

With 13 laps to go, Martin is still in front, with Fenati and Martin glued behind him. Also in the test group were Bendsneyder, Suzuki and Norrodin.

With 11 laps to go the top 4 manage to pull away slightly from their pursuers, in the meantime Canet joins the fight for the top positions, bringing 6 other riders with him. Bulega is further behind and remains 12th.

With 9 laps to go the leading group regroups and it's an open fight for the victory. Martin leads the way followed by Fenati, Bendsneyder and Mir. Behind the Leopard rider: Ramirez, Canet and Suzuki.

With 7 laps to go Fenati breaks the delay and passes Martin, shortly after Mir also passes the Spaniard. Behind them the group of 9 riders remains compact. Immediately after the show Ramirez, who manages to get into second position on a bend, is taken advantage of by Fenati who tries to escape.

With 5 laps to go Ramirez also manages to pass Fenati, behind the rider from Ascoli: the world championship leader Mir, McPhee and Martin. Up front there is a riot of overtaking, with Martin coming into contact with Ramirez, the worst is for the poleman who arrives long. McPhee takes advantage of this and takes the lead of the race. But the Scot's supremacy does not last long, Mir passes him and from behind Danilo reaches third position.

Heart-pounding last 3 laps, McPhee tries to attack the leader, but Mir doesn't give up. Behind them, Fenati gets rid of his teammate, Danilo.

Last lap starting with Mir in the lead followed by Canet and McPhee. Fourth Fenati. The player from Ascoli tries in every way to pass the Scotsman. Spectacular overtaking for Fenati who passes 4 in one braking position to gain the lead, but at the last chicane Canet manages to overtake the rider from Ascoli. Aron Canet wins followed by Romano Fenati and John McPhee.
