Moto3 Aragon, Free Practice 3: Khairuddin sets the best time

The third free practice session of the Moto3 class in Aragon (fourteenth stage of the 2012 world championship) began with a temperature of 16° in the air and 15° on the asphalt. All thirty-five drivers took to the track with rain tires given the rain that fell until shortly before the start of the session.

The Malaysian Zulfahmi Khairuddin achieved the best time, with a time of 2:13.035. The rider of Team AirAsia-Sic-Ajo who rides a KTM preceded another bike from the Mattighofen company, that of Team Red Bull Ajo of the British Danny Kent, by just 46 thousandths.

Third time for Alex Rins' Suter Honda. The Spanish rider of Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 lapped in 2:13.335, behind him the world championship leader Sandro Cortese, who also got a bad scare due to a bad "crash" of his KTM.

Closing out the Top Ten are Jonas Folger with the Kalex KTM of Team Aspar, the Portuguese Miguel Oliveria, the fastest yesterday with the second Suter Honda of Team Estrella Galicia 0,0, the South African Brad Binder, the Finn Niklas Ajo, the Spaniard Alex Marquez and the Czech Jakub Kornfeil.

First of the Italian riders is Alessandro Tonucci, 14th with the FTR Honda of Team Italia. Behind him is team-mate Romano Fenati while Niccolò Antonelli is 18th, Armando Pontone 28th and Luigi Morciano 33rd.

Many falls, including that of "Gigio" Morciano (who should have a problem with his left arm) and then Jasper Iwema, Miguel Oliveira, Jack Miller and Isaac Vinales (all without major physical consequences), while Luis Salom had first a technical problem at the beginning of the session on his KTM and then once he got back on the saddle he fell and once he got up he made a gesture of disapproval, a truly unfortunate session for the Spaniard of Team RW Racing GP who is hypothesized to have a collarbone problem.
