Moto3 | Gp Mugello FP2: Oncu confirms his top position, Fenati and Farioli do well

Moto3 Italian GP Mugello Free Practice 2 – Deniz Oncu confirmed himself as the fastest also in the second free practice session of the Moto3 class Italian Grand Prix, the sixth round of the 2023 MotoGP championship scheduled on the Mugello track.

The Team Red Bull Ajo driver finished in the lead, managing to improve the time set in the morning session, which was 1:56.947. He closed P2 with a time of 1:56.485, a time that allowed him to beat Ayumu Sasaki's Husqvarna, Intact GP, by almost half a second (0.489s).

Jaume Masia made a great recovery compared to the morning session, third on the Team Leopard Honda and ahead of the KTM MTA of Ivan Ortolà and his brand mate Scott Ogden (Team VisionTrack).

Romano Fenati did well, sixth with the Team Snipers Honda and ahead of a great Filippo Farioli (KTM Tech 3). Closing out the Top Ten are Joel Kelso with the CFMoto, Stefano Nepa with the KTM of Team MTA Taiyo Furusato, riding the Honda of Team Asia.

Ryusei Yamanaka (GASGAS Aspar), Josè Antonio Rueda (KTM Red Bull Ajo), Tatsuki Suzuki (Honda Leopard) and Riccardo Rossi (Honda SIC2 Squadra Corse) also qualified for provisional Q58, the latter two with the time recorded in FP1.

The other Italians are: Andrea Migno 13th, Matteo Bertelle 19th (the time that would have projected him into the top positions in the rankings was cancelled), Luca Lunetta 24th.

Difficult session for world championship leader Daniel Holgado, who fell, fortunately without consequences.
