Moto3 | German GP FP1: Sasaki is already a record holder, Nepa is eighth
The Japanese driver preceded Oncu and Masia
Moto3 German GP Sachsenring Free Practice 1 – Ayumu Sasaki was the fastest in the first free practice sessions of the Moto3 class German Grand Prix, the seventh round of the 2023 MotoGP championship scheduled at the Sachsenring.
The Japanese driver of Team Intact GP lapped very fast, even below the track record, setting the fastest lap with a time of 1:25.840.
Behind him Deniz Oncu on KTM of Team Red Bull Ajo (+ 0.249s) and Jaume Masia on Honda of Team Leopard (+ 0.567s). Ivan Ortolà on KTM of Team MTA is fourth, ahead of the GASGAS of the Japanese Ryusei Yamanaka (Aspar) and the leader of the world championship classification Daniel Holgado (KTM Red Bull Ajo).
Closing out the Top Ten are Kaito Toba on a Honda of Team SIC58 Squadra Corse, Stefano Nepa on a KTM of Team MTA, Josè Antonio Rueda on a KTM of Team Red Bull Ajo and Matteo Bertelle on a Honda of Team Snipers.
Andrea Migno (KTM CIP) is 12th, Romano Fenati (Honda Snipers, victim of a crash without consequences, ed.) 15th, Filippo Farioli (KTM Tech 3) 21st and Riccardo Rossi (Honda Team SIC58 Squadra Corse) 25th.
