Moto3 | GP Assen FP2: Masia repeats FP1, Fenati is second

Moto3 Dutch GP Assen Free Practice 2 – Jaume Masia confirms himself as the fastest also in the second free practice session of the Moto3 class Dutch Grand Prix, eighth round of the 2023 MotoGP world championship.

The Team Leopard driver managed to improve the time set in the morning session, dropping to 1:41.579 against the 1:41.667 of FP1.

The #5 of Honda preceded his brand mate Romano Fenati, Team Snipers, trailing by almost half a second, exactly 0.403s. Third time for the KTM of Team BOE of David Munoz, followed by the GASGAS of Team Aspar of David Alonso and the KTM of world championship leader Daniel Holgado, who crashed twice.

Adrian Fernandez riding the second Team Leopard took the sixth fastest time ahead of Kaito Toba (Honda SIC58 Squadra Corse), Stefano Nepa (KTM MTA) and Josè Antonio Rueda (KTM Red Bull Ajo). Collin Veijer (Husqvarna Intact GP) closes the Top Ten.

Qualified for provisional Q2: Masia, Fenati, Munoz, Alonso, Holgado, Fernandez, Toba, Nepa and with the times recorded in FP1 Migno, Sasaki, Kelso, Rossi, Artigas and Moreira.

Among the others out (but there are still FP3) are the winner of the Sachsenring Deniz Oncu, Matteo Bertelle, Filippo Farioli and Ivan Ortolà.

Worth noting are the many falls, including double falls. Diogo Moreira, Daniel Holgado and Ivan Ortolà fell twice. Also on the ground were Matteo Bertelle, Andrea Migno and Romano Fenati, all of whom fell without consequences.
