Moto3 GP Styria Red Bull Ring Spielberg Free Practice 1 – The Moto3 class riders returned to the track after the very long summer break following the Dutch Grand Prix (5 weeks off, ed.) and they did so at the Red Bull Ring, scene of the Styrian Grand Prix, the tenth round of the MotoGP world championship 2021.

The fastest of the first free practice session was Sergio Garcia who stopped the clock on the Gas Gas at a time of 1:37.143.

The Team Aspar rider preceded the world ranking leader Pedro Acosta (KTM Red Bull Ajo) by just 50 thousandths, who in turn preceded John McPhee's Honda (Petronas) by just 2 thousandths.

Fourth time for the KTM of Ayumu Sasaki's Team Tech 3; the Japanese rider is ahead of our Romano Fenati (Husqvarna Max Racing Team) and the South African Darryn Binder (Honda Petronas).

Closing out the Top Ten are Niccolò Antonelli (KTM Avintia) who crashed without consequences at the end of the session, Jaume Masia (KTM Red Bull Ajo), Andrea Migno (Honda Snipers) and Gabriel Rodrigo (Honda Gresini).

Dennis Foggia (Honda Leopard) set the eleventh time, ahead of his brand mate Tatsuki Suzuki (SIC58 Squadra Corse).

The other Italians are: Riccardo Rossi (KTM BOE) 16th and Stefano Nepa (KTM BOE) 17th.
