Moto3 | Gp Jerez Race: Acosta show! Third consecutive victory, Fenati 2nd
The KTM rookie continues to amaze and extends his lead in the standings
Moto3 GP Spain Jerez Race – An amazing Pedro Acosta won the Spanish Grand Prix in the Moto3 class, the fourth round of the 2021 MotoGP.
The rookie of Team Red Bull Ajo, despite a mistake with two laps to go, recovered to win the third consecutive race after those in Doha and Portimao.
Second step of the podium for our Romano Fenati, who on the Max Racing Team Husqvarna preceded an amazing Jeremy Alcoba (Team Gresini), who had to take two long lap penalties. 26th podium in Moto3 for Fenati, 4th in Jerez.
At 16 years 11 months and 7 days, Acosta becomes the youngest rider in the history of the MotoGP to win three races in a row, a result that says a lot about what a champion the Spaniard #37 of KTM is.
At the infamous turn 13 on the last lap Darryn Binder, Jaume Masia and Deniz Oncu fell, with the latter triggering the crash.
Fourth at the finish was our Andrea Migno, who on the Team Snipers Honda preceded Ayumu Sasaki (KTM Tech 3), Carlos Tatay (KTM Avintia), Jason Dupasquier (KTM PruestelGP) and our Niccolò Antonelli (KTM Avintia).
Closing out the Top Ten are Xavier Artigas (Honda Leopard) and Ryusei Yamanaka (KTM PruestelGP). Also scoring points were Izan Guevara (Gas Gas Aspar), Filip Salac (Honda Snipers), Sergio Garcia (Gas Gas Aspar), Yuki Kunii (Honda Asia) and our Stefano Nepa (KTM BOE).
Falls for John McPhee, Gabriel Rodrigo, Tatsuki Suzuki and Dennis Foggia. In the world rankings Acosta leads with 95 points against Niccolò Antonelli's 44, Andrea Migno's 42 and Romano Fenati's 40.
It should be noted that in the entire history of Moto3 (125cc included) no rider had recorded such a large gap in the 4th race.
