Moto3 | Gp Assen FP3: Foggia precedes Fenati, scare for Acosta
The world championship leader was hit by Riccardo Rossi
Moto3 Dutch GP Assen Free Practice 3 – Dennis Foggia (Honda) set the best time in the third and final free practice session of the Moto3 class in Assen, where the ninth stage of the season is scheduled for Sunday.
The Team Leopard rider set the best lap with a time of 1:41.734, a time that allowed him to beat his compatriot Romano Fenati, riding the Husqvarna of the Max Racing Team.
Third time for Sergio Garcia (Gas Gas Aspar) who preceded John McPhee (Honda Petronas) and Deniz Oncu (KTM Tech 3). Excellent sixth time for Elia Bartolini (KTM Avintia) who precedes team-mate Niccolò Antonelli.
Jeremy Alcoba (Honda Gresini) was eighth and finished ahead of Kaito Toba (KTM CIP) and team-mate Gabriel Rodrigo. Also entering Q2 directly with the times recorded yesterday are world championship leader Pedro Acosta (KTM Red Bull Ajo), Darryn Binder (Honda Petronas), Andrea Migno (Honda Snipers) and Tatsuki Suzuki (Honda SIC58 Squadra Corse).
Worth noting is the terrible risk taken by Pedro Acosta at the end of the session, who fell after the chicane and was hit by Riccardo Rossi. Miraculously the two got up after a few seconds in which the worst was feared. Stefano Nepa and Ryusei Yamanaka also fell (perhaps to avoid the two, but there are no images that clarify, ed.).
