Moto2 | GP Assen Warm Up: Baldassarri leads, “Diggia” is sixth
The Team Pons driver preceded Fernandez and Gardner
Moto2 Dutch GP Warm Up – Lorenzo Baldassarri won the warm up of the Moto2 class in Assen, scene of the Dutch Grand Prix, eighth stage of the 2019 MotoGP.
The Team Pons driver from the Marche region took his Kalex to the top with a time of 1:37.834, a time that allowed him to beat his team-mate Augusto Fernandez by just 6 thousandths.
Third and fourth times went to pole man Remy Gardner (Kalex SAG Team) and Alex Marquez (Kalex Marc VDS), with the latter also crashing without consequences.
Brad Binder took the KTM of Team Red Bull Ajo to fifth position, ahead of the Speed Up of category rookie Fabio Di Giannantonio and the Kalex of Sky Racing Team VR46 of a sore Luca Marini, who crashed heavily on Saturday.
Closing out the Top Ten are the Japanese Tetsuta Nagashima, the Swiss Thomas Luthi and the 2018 world champion of the Moto3 class Jorge Martin (KTM Red Bull Ajo).
Andrea Locatelli with the Kalex of Team Italtrans is thirteenth, while the other Italians are: Nicolò Bulega (Kalex Sky Racing Team VR46) sixteenth, Stefano Manzi (Mv Agusta) seventeenth, Simone Corsi (Kalex Tasca Racing) eighteenth, Enea Bastianini (Kalex Italtrans ) nineteenth and Marco Bezzecchi (KTM Red Bull Tech 3) twenty-seventh.
