For years, the SCOT RACING TEAM has been Honda's partner in the World Championship and protagonist in the 250 class, first with Andrea Dovizioso and Yuki Takahashi, today with Hiroshi Aoyama and Raffaele De Rosa.
This year too, the team has demonstrated that it can stay at the top of the class, giving its drivers an absolutely competitive vehicle.

The team, managed by Cirano Mularoni, has always harbored the desire to build a motorbike that encompasses all the know-how gained over years of high-level competitions. The frenzy of racing, and the high cost of developing an experimental system, has always held back this spirit which has come in handy for the new four-stroke class that will replace the 250: Moto2.

The coordinator of the project, as well as technical manager of the current team, is Emanuele Ventura: “The conception, the design, the prototyping, the consequent development of the motorbike, with all the very long testing and refinement phase are the result of the collaboration between us and the Rapid Inside NCS of Carpi: the vehicle brings together all the experience accumulated by the team in the 250 and MotoGP championship.
We decided on this solution - designing our own Moto 2 rather than buying one already prepared by other specialists - because, although more demanding, it allows us to make the most of our skills and also to be very quick in developing any modifications, even radical ones.
The frame is fully adjustable, both with regards to the center of gravity and any offset.
The goal of the Team Scot and Rapid Inside NCS engineers was to create a very balanced motorcycle, competitive on all circuits, rather than a motorcycle that only performs in ideal set-up conditions.
The project is already ready to hit the track, even if some details - the aerodynamics, for example - are not yet definitive".

GP209 is the name of the first model created, which can be viewed in the MotoGP paddock, in front of the team's hospitality area. The prototype on display has a GP209 chassis, a CBR 600 Honda engine, Showa suspension, Brembo braking unit, Marchesini rims, Arrow exhaust, Acerbis saddle and Motoart fairing.
