As previously written, Julian Simon and Mike Di Meglio tested three types of Moto2 today in Valencia. In the end the Spaniard was the fastest of the three days of testing, managing to reach a time of 1'37"3. Simon tried the Suter, then the English FTR, and finally the Italian RSV, with which he reached his aforementioned best time. Both Mapfre pilots completed these days of intensive testing working hard but with extreme satisfaction for the vast experience and information gathered.

Mike Di Meglio was the first of the two Mapfre riders to take to the track around 12.30pm. The Frenchman rode with the Italian RSV. During the two hours the Frenchman completed 42 laps, obtaining the fastest lap with a time of 1'37"9. DI Meglio said he was satisfied at the end of this test, because every day he improved his times and his experience of riding a 4-stroke motorcycle.

Julian Simon 1.37.3 (30 laps): “The truth is that I am happy because we have achieved a very positive trend with the 4-stroke. I am pleased to have had the opportunity to test today, with three different bikes, and I thank each of the manufacturers who allowed us to test their bikes. In these three days I have collected a lot of sensations with a lot of bikes, and now we can evaluate what we can do better. In the end, even though I didn't have much time I rode quite well. I leave Valencia very happy because I have assimilated the 4-stroke concept quite well and I have many references to use in the near future. Now during the Christmas holidays I will try to disconnect a bit and I will try to rest after the world's efforts. But without getting lost, I will keep myself trained to be in perfect physical condition the next time I return to the track."

Mike Di Meglio 1.37.9 (42 laps): “On this last day I had the opportunity to try a new bike. Today I rode the entire time with the Italian RSV bike, and the truth is that once again I felt at ease and was able to continue my 4-stroke apprenticeship. Luckily, with each passing day I have more experience, the proof is that we have improved day after day. I am very grateful to both teams, as to all the teams who let us try different bikes in three days. I think I couldn't have ended the year better. Even though now comes a moment of well-deserved break, I am anxious and impatient to get back on track again.”
