Moto2 – Jerez Test Day 2 – Simon and Marquez at record pace
The Moto2 test on the Jerez de la Frontera circuit continues to break records. Just like yesterday, today too Julian Simon and Marc Marquez (in the photo in action with his Suter) lapped below the track record, with times of 1.43.1 and 1.43.2 respectively. If Simon's result, excellent as it was expected, continues to surprise the 2010 world champion of the eighth of a liter who seems to have immediately adapted to the heavier and more powerful 2-stroke Moto4.
Also on track are Andrea Iannone, Michele Pirro, Yuki Takahashi, Scott Redding, Mika Kallio, Xavi Fores and also the Ducati with test rider Franco Battaini. The latter was the victim of a bad fall (fortunately without physical consequences) which caused the red flag for 20 minutes and the conclusion of his test aboard the GP11. Tomorrow third and final day of testing.

What a phenomenon Marquez certainly has the support of a team and an ultra-official sponsor but adapting immediately to a 4-stroke is incredible
