Moto2: Irta Jerez Day 1 test, Marc Marquez “I was dying to get back on track with the others”

Today is a very important day for Marc Marquez. The Team CatalunyaCaixa Repsol rider is in fact back on track for an official test together with all the other riders, five months after the Sepang crash, a fall that caused him to have double vision, a problem that was resolved only a few days ago. Good news for the Spanish fans and for motorcycling in general, he has the say.

“I had a great feeling today. I was dying to get back on track with the rest of the riders. After confirming that my vision problem was solved in Albacete, I was able to come here for the test. Today was useful for recovering the feeling and being fast on the track. Obviously it was tough at the beginning, but I managed to find my braking points and feel better with each lap. We did a good job and tomorrow we can start working on the set-up. I still need to increase my confidence and this is what we will focus on in this test, the last one before the start of the world championship.”
