Moto2 Silverstone: Andrea Iannone “We could have done better”

Andrea Iannone finished the British Grand Prix in the Moto2 class in fourth position. The Abruzzo rider would have liked to at least take the podium but a bike that wasn't perfectly set up didn't allow him to do so. He is especially sorry for the team, he has the say.

“All in all, what was really important was to get some points: this year it is essential to collect as many as possible. We could have done better and achieved more. After the warm up I was undecided whether to make a change to the bike's gearbox or not. In the end we kept it as in qualifying: with a lot of wind, it worked well, but today the wind had dropped and this choice didn't favor us. When exiting corners I lost ground. For the rest, the bike worked well, and I'm happy because we're not far from the others. I'm sorry for the team, because they worked a lot and we could have brought home a better result. In any case I'm positive, we'll go to Assen with peace of mind and we'll try to ensure a good result."
