GP Malaysia Sepang Moto2 Race – Miguel Oliveira wins the Malaysian Grand Prix, Moto2 class.

The Portuguese driver, starting from the front row, began to dictate his own pace from the start of the race. Behind him Franco Morbidelli (Marc VdS), the new reigning world champion given Luthi's absence due to injury, remains behind him, unable to keep up with the KTM rider's pace. Without any brawl and alone, Miguel wins the race, his second consecutive victory after the Australian GP.

The real fight is for second position, between: Morbidelli, Brad Binder (KTM Ajo) and Francesco Bagnaia (SKY Racing team VR46). Only in the final laps, with the arrival of the first drops of rain, did the fight between the South African driver and Morbidelli flare up. The winner is Brad Binder who completes the KTM double. Morbidelli was satisfied with third place, but as already mentioned, he is the 2 Moto2017 world champion.

The Turin rider, however, tried to keep the pace of the leaders, but in the end he started to lose ground and closed behind Mattia Pasini (ItalTrans) and in front of Hafizh Syahrin who mocked Fabio Qartararo in the final.

Eighth position for Xavi Vierge, followed by Isaac Vinales and Tetsuta Nagashima.

Andrea Locatelli (ItalTrans) finished in thirteenth position, while Alex de Angelis, eighteenth.

Fall for the two Forward standard bearers: Lorenzo Baldassarri and Luca Marini. Stefano Manzi (SKY Racing team VR46) also crashed.
