The ninth round of the 2011 Championship for the Moto2 class began today at the Sachsenring circuit. The first session on the track was characterized by low temperatures. Andrea Iannone, driver of the Speed ​​Master team, struggled due to the poor grip of the rear tire on the German track. The rider and his team then worked to improve the grip and used the afternoon session to try some first changes to the setting of the Suter MMXI. Andrea tried to make the most of the time available to check the behavior of the tyres, concluding the session with the sixteenth fastest time. The Italian stopped the clock 0.641 seconds from the best time of the session: the gap between the various times is minimal, and this promises to be a hard-fought weekend.

“We need to work on some adjustments to improve the bike for tomorrow, so that we can ride faster. In general we are quite satisfied with how this first day went, we managed to follow the program we had established for today. We had the opportunity to do the tests we had planned and, for tomorrow, we will make further changes to seek other advantages and be more competitive. We are all very close, the gaps between the various riders are really limited. Now I'm calm, let's hope that tomorrow will be a good day and that we can be faster.
