Moto2 – Phillip Island Free Practice 2 – Redding precedes Iannone and De Angelis
Scott Redding achieved the best time in the final Moto1 test session at Phillip Island in 35.297'2, which was held entirely on a dry track. The English driver of the Suter Marc VDS Racing Team managed to get first position by a few thousandths of an advantage over Andrea Iannone, who rose to second place with his Speed Up, and Alex De Angelis, trailing by 57 and 72 thousandths.
In surprising fourth place is Stefan Bradl, a former German 125cc rider with the Suter of Viessmann Kiefer Racing, who left behind Alex Debon, Julian Simon and Karel Abraham who will move to MotoGP next year with a Ducati.
Among the Italians, a good eighth time for Claudio Corti, already 9th yesterday, while Simone Corsi had no problems after the crash in the first tests, obtaining the eleventh time followed by the Sepang winner Roberto Rolfo, with Alex Baldolini 19th further behind and Raffaele De Rosa 24th.
The 2010 world champion Toni Elias is unexpectedly only in sixteenth place, now without pressure after winning the title last week in Malaysia with three races to spare.
