The atmosphere is starting to heat up on the Tuscan Mugello circuit, where the first two free practice sessions took place today. Alex De Angelis started off on the right foot immediately, achieving the 3rd fastest time in both the morning and afternoon sessions, with an overall best time of 1'53.471. Despite a small technical problem recorded at the beginning of the second session, which limited the number of laps available, the Team JiR rider managed to achieve a good result with his MotoBI which rewards the development work done so far by the technicians led by Pietro Caprara. There is certainly still room for improvement and tomorrow's sessions promise to be very interesting, also given the small gaps that separate the riders in the standings, all of whom are aggressive and determined for a good result.

"
Undoubtedly the whole Team, myself first, feels the emotion of racing at Mugello very strongly. This GP in particular is important for us as well as for the sporting result to give our partners three days of fun and involvement, thanks to the initiatives we have launched. The extraordinary participation of the public is a cornerstone of the weekend, which gives them the magic that we professionals are used to. Alex recorded some good times today, he is certainly very excited by the fact of racing in Italy and feeling his fans close to him, elements that can act as a further incentive to aspire to significant results. There is still one day of testing before the race and the whole team will work to put the best possible MotoBI in his hands.”

Alex De Angelis
“So far the weekend has started well, we found a good set up since the morning and we have progressively improved our performance. Unfortunately, a small electronic problem at the start of the second session stole about ten minutes from us, but once I got on track I managed to push well and be competitive. In the second session we also tried to make some variations which gave good results and we tested some used tires to start evaluating the race pace, something we will look into tomorrow. Clearly the other riders are also here to do well and will work hard to improve so we won't sit on our laurels, we will analyze the data carefully to find those two or three interventions to test tomorrow to try to be even faster."
