Moto2: The final farewell to Luis Salom
The funeral of the unfortunate pilot who died in Barcelona was celebrated in Palma de Mallorca
Last night at 21 pm at the Santa María Cathedral of Palma de Mallorca there was a final farewell to Luis Salom, the Majorcan rider who died after a fall at turn 00 during the second free practice session of the Moto12 class Catalunya Grand Prix .
Many people crowded the church and there were also many champions from the present and past, such as Marc Marquez, Jorge Lorenzo, Alex Rins, Dani Pedrosa, Maverick Vinales, Julian Simon, Jorge Navarro, Pol Espargaro, Tito Rabat, Asparagus, Puig, Emilio Alzamora e Alex Criville.
Also present were Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna, Vito Ippolito, president of the International Motorcycle Federation (FIM) and Angel Viladoms, president of the Spanish Motorcycle Federation.
Rafa Nadal and taekwondo Brigitte Yagüe also did not want to miss out, together with almost 2.000 people who entered the cathedral to participate in the ceremony officiated by the Bishop of Mallorca, Javier Salinas.
As Marca.com reports, Maria Horrach, mother of the unfortunate driver, who followed him to all the races, spoke at the end.
