Moto2 Le Mans, QP: Pole goes to Luthi, Bagnaia and Morbidelli on the front row

GP Le Mans Moto2 Qualifying – Thomas Luthi wins the pole position of the Moto2 class French Grand Prix, fifth stage of the 2017 world championship.
The Swiss centaur stopped the clock at a time of 1:36.548, achieving his first pole of the season, his seventh in Moto2.
Excellent performance from rookie Francesco Bagnaia, author of the second half just 26 thousandths behind Luthi. The Sky Racing Team VR46 rider preceded his compatriot and world championship leader Franco Morbidelli.
Luca Marini will open the second row; Valentino Rossi's brother preceded the Swiss Dominique Aegerter and Alex Marquez, who after the crash in Free Practice 3 was able to take part in the qualifying.
Two Italians in the third row, Mattia Pasini and Lorenzo Baldassarri, the former riding the Kalex of Team Italtrans, the latter of Forward Racing.
Further back are the other Italians, Simone Corsi is fourteenth, Stefano Manzi twenty-fourth, Andrea Locatelli twenty-sixth and Axel Bassani twenty-eighth.
Rookie Tarran Mackenzie, who from this race replaces Danny Kent in Kiefer Racing, finished twenty-ninth.
