Moto2 Le Mans, Free Practice 1: Redding ahead of Pol Espargarò
Simone Corsi with the Speed Up of Team NGM Mobile is seventh and the best of the Italians
Scott Redding set the fastest time in the first free practice session of the Moto2 class at Le Mans. The Marc VDS Racing Team rider in fact stopped the clock at a time of 1:38.869, a time of only 98 thousandths better than that set by Pol Espargarò, riding the Kalex of Team Pons.
The two precede the Suter of the Swiss Thomas Luthi, who in turn is ahead by 253 thousandths of Esteve Rabat, winner two weeks ago in Jerez de la Frontera. The Team Pons rider precedes his compatriots Nico Terol (Suter of Team Aspar) and Julian Simon, riding the Kalex of Team Italtrans.
Simone Corsi (Speed Up) seventh is the best of the Italian riders. The Roman centaur of Team NGM Mobile suffers a gap from the top of just over seven tenths, behind him the Suter of the Swiss Dominique Aegerter, the team-mate Mattia Pasini and the Frenchman of the IodaRacing Project, Johann Zarco, who closes the Top Ten riding the Suter.
Alex de Angelis follows him, with the third Speed Up of Team NGM Mobile. The San Marino driver who lapped in 1:39.715 precedes the Japanese Takaaki Nakagami, the Spaniard Jordi Torres, the Swiss Randy Krummenacher and the Finn Mika Kallio.
