Moto2 – FTR satisfied with its debut
FTR, Fabrication Techniques Racing, is very satisfied with its debut in Moto2. The M210 used by the Motor Sport 69 team, brought to the track by Alex Debon, ended the Qatar GP in second position. The result is even more positive considering that Debon had undergone collarbone surgery six weeks ago. In addition to Debon's second place, FTR also placed Gabor Talmacsi in ninth position with the M210 of Team SpeedUp. Here are the words of Steve Bones of FTR.
“Alex and the team did an incredible job. Only six weeks ago Alex was in hospital with a fractured collarbone but the team worked really well, especially with the suspension engineer Ohlins and Alex had an excellent race set-up for all 20 laps. The results of the opening race are a boost for everyone involved in the Moto2 FTR project, from all our suppliers and commercial partners through to the team and riders. We will have to work on further improvement, trying to maintain the pace going to Japan first and then to Jerez."
