Moto2 – Jonas Folger returns to the MotoGP, from the Catalan GP, ​​scheduled for next weekend, the German rider will be riding the Petronas team bike in the intermediate category.

The Malaysian team had already replaced the injured Khairul Idham Pawi during the Le Mans and Mugello GPs with Mattia Pasini, but the driver Riccione was the victim of a fall last Monday while he was training with the motocross bike, he fractured his left collarbone. Rumors immediately circulated about the possible hiring of Folger by the Petronas team, rumors denied by the German press which spoke of a clause with Yamaha.

Jonas Folger will thus return to racing in the MotoGP, albeit temporarily, after his last appearance which dates back to the Aragon GP in 2017.
