Positive day for the Gresini Moto2 Team with Yuki Takahashi who, thanks to the second time, places himself on the front row of the starting grid and Michele Pirro on the third row with the seventh time just two thousandths of a second from the sixth. After yesterday morning's disastrous crash, everything went right for the Japanese Takahashi who, relying completely on the guys in the team, had a very high-performance Moriwaki MD600 at his disposal. The conditions for a top race are all there and Yuki is very confident in this. Michele Pirro is also satisfied and confident for tomorrow's race, having improved his starting position in Qatar and is eager to enter the battle for the top positions tomorrow.

Yuki Takahashi (2nd 1' 42” 988) “After yesterday morning's disaster, following the crash, we worked very well and today I managed to achieve a decidedly positive result with second place. I'm also happy because I was able to verify that the race pace is very good and I'm convinced that we can have a good race tomorrow. Clearly everything will also depend on the weather conditions but in case of rain I defend myself quite well in the wet so with a good start I will be able to fight for the victory."

Michele Pirro (7th 1' 43” 615) “We improved Qatar's starting position, from ninth to seventh, and this is positive. I'm just a little disappointed that I lost the second row by just 2 thousandths of a second. However, I hope I can get off to a good start and stay in the group of the best. We still have some small interventions to do but overall I have a good feeling with the bike. I trust in the team that I consider the best and I am sure that like in Qatar we will be at the start with a competitive bike. The synergy continues to be splendid, I will do my part and the boys, I am equally sure, will do theirs to put me in a position to be able to have a good race."

Fausto Gresini “Considering that we practically didn't play the first round yesterday due to the fall, today's result, from Takahashi, is more than positive. Naturally, in this category it is not easy to always remain at the top because the technical level has grown considerably and therefore continually being among the first makes us proud. I believe that Yuki will be able to do very well tomorrow but the same goes for Pirro who missed out on the second row by just two thousandths. A positive day with an excellent team result which gives us hope for this second Grand Prix of the season.”
