Moto2 Indianapolis, Qualifying: Third pole of the year for Pol Espargarò
Front row for Andrea Iannone riding the Speed Up of Team Speed Master
Pol Espargarò obtained the pole position of the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix Moto2 class. This is the third pole of the season for the Team Pons 40 HP Tuenti driver. “Polyccio” achieved it with a time of 1:42.602, a time 231 thousandths better than that set by his compatriot and world championship leader Marc Marquez, riding the Suter of Team CatalunyaCaixa Repsol. Our Andrea Iannone will start in the front row with them tomorrow, riding the Speed Up of Team Speed Master. The Abruzzo rider is 462 thousandths behind Espargarò.
The excellent Julian Simon will start in the second row with the Suter of Team Blusens Avintia, the Swiss of Team Technomag-CIP Dominique Aegerter and the British Scott Redding, riding the Kalex of the Marc VDS Racing Team.
Seventh time for Claudio Corti, riding the Kalex of Team Italtrans. Behind him is teammate Mika Kallio and the Suters of Thomas Luthi and the 2010 125cc world champion Nico Terol. The other Italian drivers are Simone Corsi, 12th with the FTR of Ioda Racing, Roberto Rolfo 22nd with the Suter of Team Technomag-CIP and Alessandro Andreozzi 30th with the second Speed Up of Team Speed Master.
