Moto2 GP Thailand Buriram – The first victory of the season also arrived for the Sky Racing Team VR46, thanks to a superb race by Luca Marini who was able to open up a gap on his pursuers from the first laps. Good race also for Nicolò Bulega who crossed the finish line in eighth place.

Sky Racing Team VR46 statements

Luca Marini: “Beautiful race and beautiful victory! I started well, with a constant pace and immediately created a gap of almost 3 seconds. I'm very happy because we finished the race dominating and it's the first time in my career. It wasn't easy to stay focused until the finish line. I tried not to think or make mistakes. After fourth place in Aragón, a track where I have always struggled a bit to be competitive, I was very confident. The bike was perfect, even with the high temperatures. The boys did a great job and it was tough for them too because it was 50 degrees in the garage. Thanks to the whole Team, the Academy and my family. They followed me from Italy waking up for a week at three in the morning. Let's go full throttle towards the trio."

Nicolò Bulega: “I'm happy with this eighth place, the Top10 is always a good result. We worked quite well over the weekend, but we still need a little something to be able to keep up with the strongest."
