Moto2 | Silverstone GP FP2: Weather protagonist, Marquez the best
The Spanish driver preceded Marini and Aegerter
Moto2 British GP Free Practice 2 – The weather was the protagonist in the second free practice session of the Moto2 class at Silverstone, where the twelfth stage of the 2018 MotoGP championship is scheduled for Sunday.
The rain fell five minutes into the session and up to that point and with just a few laps completed, the best had been Alex Marquez, with a time of 2:10.452.
The Team Marc VDS driver preceded our Luca Marini (Sky Racing Team VR0.228) by 46s, who in turn put the Swiss Dominique Aegerter and the French Fabio Quartararo (Speed Up) behind him.
Fifth time for Tetsuta Nagashima, followed by Remy Gardner, the world championship leader Francesco Bagnaia (Sky Racing Team VR46) and the Spaniard Iker Lecuona.
Closing out the Top Ten are South African Brad Binder and Stefano Manzi (Forward Racing). With around 24 minutes left in the session, the riders took to the track on rain tires in preparation for the race, which weather forecasts say will be wet.
