Moto2 | GP Qatar Race: Bagnaia Baldassarri show, Italian double

Moto2 GP Qatar Race – Francesco Bagnaia wins the first victory of the 2018 Moto2 class season, on the Losail circuit.

The Sky Racing Team VR46 driver, starting from the front row, dominated the entire race, never giving up the lead, except in a single corner. It is the first victory in the intermediate category for the Turin driver.

In second position a fantastic Lorenzo Baldassarri, first protagonist of a fantastic fight with Alex Marquez, and in the end author of a heart-pounding comeback on the Sky rider. A technical problem at the end of the race slowed down the Spanish driver of the Marc VDS team who managed to finish in third position.

He tried until the end, but Mattia Pasini was unable to get on the podium, settling for fourth position. Behind the ItalTrans team rider the KTM duo formed by: Miguel Oliveira and Brad Binder.

Marcel Schrötter finished in seventh position, followed by Xavi Vierge and our Luca Marini (Sky Racing Team VR46). Jorge Navarro completes the top ten.

The reigning Moto3 world champion, Joan Mir, despite the injury suffered before the start of the season, finished in eleventh position. Simone Corsi finished in 14th position. Rookie Romano Fenati ranked 24th.
