Moto2 | GP Phillip Island FP3: Lopez wins the round
The Team Speed Up driver precedes Aldeguar and Fernandez. Vietti out of Q2
Moto2 GP Australia Free Practice 3 – Alonso Lopez was the fastest in the third free practice session of the Moto2 class Australian Grand Prix, 18th stage of the 2022 MotoGP world championship.
The Team SpeedUp driver, who recorded the best performance with a time of 1:32.616, preceded his brand mate Fermin Aldeguer and Augusto Fernandez, respectively 0.318s and 0.377s behind.
Aron Canet (Pons) took the fourth fastest time ahead of Jake Dixon (GASGAS) and Pedro Acosta (KTM Ajo).
Tony Arbolino (Marc VdS) finished seventh, ahead of Joe Roberts (Italtrans) and Bo Bendsneyder (SAG). Filip Salc completes the top ten.
Ai Ogura (Team Asia), Jeremy Alcoba (IntactGP), Cameron Beaubier (American Racing) and Sam Lowes (Marc VdS) also qualified for Q2.
Out of Q2 among others were: Lorenzo Dalla Porta (ItalTrans) 17th, Celestino Vietti (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) 18th, Simone Corsi (MV Agusta Forward) is 19th, Niccolò Antonelli (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) 21st, Alessandro Zaccone ( Gresini) 25th.
