Moto2 French GP Le Mans Qualifying – Raul Fernandez wins the pole of the French Grand Prix, fifth stage of the 2021 Moto2 class MotoGP World Championship.

This is the first pole in the intermediate class for the rookie of the KTM Ajo team, achieved with a time of 1:50.135, preceding Marco Bezzecchi (Sky Racing Team VR46) and Joe Roberts (Italtrans) by just over two tenths.

Aron Canet (Aspar) opens the second row ahead of Augusto Fernandez and Bo Bendsneyder.

World championship leader Remy Gardner (KTM Ajo) will start from seventh place, ahead of Hector Garzo (Flexbox HP40) and an excellent Stefano Manzi (Flexbox HP40). Sam Lowes (Marc VDS) completes the top ten.

Nicolò Bulega (Gresini), who crashed during the session, will start eleventh, ahead of Lorenzo Baldassarri (MV Agusta Forward) who will start from 13th place. Fabio Di Giannantonio (Gresini), after the victory ten weeks ago in Jerez, will start from 15th place, while Simone Corsi (MV Agusta Forward) recorded the 17th time.

By just 108 thousandths Tony Arbolino (Intact Gp) missed out on Q1 and will start 19th. Lorenzo Dalla Porta (Italtrans) is also far away and will start 22nd. Celestino Vietti (Sky Racing Team VR29) was only 46th.
