Moto2 | Japanese GP FP3: Quartararo fastest, Bagnaia fourth
Behind the French rider Schrotter and Marquez, Oliveira sixth
Moto2 GP Motegi Free Practice 3 – Fabio Quartararo wins the last free practice session of the Moto2 class Japanese Grand Prix, sixteenth stage of the 2018 MotoGP.
The Frenchman from the Speed Up team stopped the clock at 1:51.293 and preceded Marcel Schrotter and Alex Marquez (Marc VdS).
Fourth time for world championship leader Francesco Bagnaia (Sky Racing Team V46), followed closely by his direct title rival Miguel Oliveira (KTM Ajo)
Behind the Portuguese we find Lorenzo Baldassarri (HP Pons) who finished ahead of Iker Lecuona and Augusto Fernandez (HP Pons). Tetsuta Nagashima and Sam Lowes complete the top ten.
Simone Corsi was out of the ten, recording the fourteenth time, while Luca Marini (Sky Racing Team VR46) finished sixteenth, ahead of Stefano Manzi (Forward), 18th.
Of note are the falls of both Italtrans standard bearers, Mattia Pasini and Andrea Locatelli, fortunately without consequences.
