Moto2 | GP Austria Race: Pasini, “The podium was very close”

Moto2 Austrian Grand Prix – Race ended with points for the team Italtrans Racing, with an excellent performance by Mattia Pasini, fourth and just a whisker away from the podium; Andrea Locatelli, involved in a contact at the start of the race, finished thirteenth.

Mattia Pasini: “I'm quite satisfied with the race. It's a shame about the start, where the riders who didn't have the pace created a bit of confusion, and I lost the chance to stay with the leaders. The podium today was really very close, but I preferred not to take any chances and bring home a concrete result after a series of unlucky GPs. This weekend we worked very well on the bike and made some good steps forward. Now we go to Silverstone with a good result behind us."

Andrea Locatelli: “Unfortunate race. In the first laps, a contact on the rear with another rider made me go out and come back in, losing a lot of time. I tried to recover as many positions as possible, but an accident in front made me slow down. I couldn't do more than that. I'm sorry because it could have been a good weekend. Now we continue to work to face next weekend in the best possible way."
