Moto2 | Australian GP Warm Up: Binder rings the charge
A few thousandths behind the KTM rider, Bezzecchi and Baldassarri
Moto2 GP Australia Phillip Island Warm Up – Brad Binder wins the Warm Up of the Moto2 class Australian Grand Prix, seventeenth stage of the 2019 MotoGP world championship.
The KTM team rider stopped the clock at 1:32933, preceding the rookie Marco Bezzecchi (Tech3) by just 3 thousandths and Lorenzo Baldassarri (FlexBox HP7) by 40 thousandths.
Sam Lowes finishes in fourth position and precedes Tom Luthi and Iker Lecuona. The world championship leader, Alex Marquez (Marc VDS) finishes seventh ahead of Jorge Martin (KTM Ajo) and Remy Gardner. Tetsuta Nagashima completes the top ten.
Out of the ten is Fabio Di Giannantonio (Speed Up) who finishes eleventh. The other Italians were far away. Andrea Locatelli (ItalTrans) is 19th, while Stefano Manzi (MV Agusta Forward) is 21st. The difficulties of Mattia Pasini (Tasca Racing) continue, only 29th. Enea Bastianini's WUP finished on the first lap and he crashed after a few corners fortunately without consequences.
