Moto2 Brno, Qualifying: Takaaki Nakagami takes pole position in the Czech Republic

Takaaki Nakagami will start from pole position in the Moto2 class Czech Republic Grand Prix. The Team Italtrans rider did it with a time of 2:02.202, thus achieving the second pole in the medium category of the world championship.

A great satisfaction for the Japanese, who is constantly among the first, who preceded Pol Espargarò, the next Yamaha MotoGP rider, by 397 thousandths.

Third time for the latter's teammate, Esteve Rabat, who next year will wear the colors of the Marc VDS Racing Team, team of the current world championship leader Scott Redding, today only thirteenth.

There is a clear dominance of Kalex, which has five bikes in the Top Five. In addition to Nakagami, Espargarò and Rabat, we also find Mika Kallio and the 2012 Moto3 champion Sandro Cortese, finally in the positions that count in Moto2 too. In fact, the German suffered more than expected in his transition to Moto2, but now he seems to be showing positive signs.

The best of the Italians is Simone Corsi, who is however in fifteenth position and ahead of his team-mate Mattia Pasini. Even twenty-first Alex de Angelis, in great difficulty also thanks to yesterday's fall.
