With a great performance, Scott Redding closed the second free practice session of the Moto2 class in the lead in Austin, the scene of the second stage of the 2013 world championship. The Marc VDS Racing Team rider stopped the clock at a time of 2:12.481, a time approached by the Belgian Xavier Simeon, who however closed almost four tenths behind the British Kalex.

The session was largely dominated by Johann Zarco, rider of the Came IodaRacing Project, who closed the session with the third fastest time. The Frenchman, ex JiR, worked best with the team on his Suter, starting in a very determined manner compared to what he showed in Qatar. Behind him was the Spaniard Nico Terol, rider of Team Aspar. The former eighth-litre world champion lapped in 2:12.925, keeping behind the best of the Italians, once again the Roman Simone Corsi, fifth on board the Speed Up of Team NGM Mobile Racing.

Corsi preceded the Finn Mika Kallio (with the second Kalex of the Marc VDS Racing Team) and the winner of Losail, Pol Espargarò, who moved up the ranks compared to Free Practice 1, closing this session with the seventh fastest time. Behind the Team Pons rider we find the Frenchman Mike di Meglio, riding the Team JiR Motobi. Closing out the Top Ten are the Spaniard Esteve Rabat and the Swiss Dominique Aegerter.

Mattia Pasini moves up, making a huge leap forward, moving up to eleventh position. The Team NGM Mobile rider is followed by West, Torres, Simon, Elias and the Japanese Nakagami. Alex de Angelis from San Marino is in more difficulty, only nineteenth and ahead of Alex Pons and the 2012 Moto3 champion Sandro Cortese.

Zarco third, Pasini went from 20th to 11th, I'm happy.
Hoping that the sign of improvement given by Mattia will not be lost with the increase in grip and knowledge of the track. GO!!!
