Moto2 Aragon, Free Practice 3: Zarco confirms his lead, Alex de Angelis does well

Johann Zarco confirmed himself as the fastest on the track also in the third free practice session in Alcaniz, on the Motorland circuit in Aragon. The French rider from Team JiR who was the fastest in Free Practice 2 yesterday took his Motobi/TSR ahead of everyone with a time of 2:06.345.

The session characterized by wet asphalt that gradually dried out also saw our Alex de Angelis as protagonists, who finished with the second time, 139 thousandths of a second behind Zarco. The San Marino driver of Team NGM Mobile Forward Racing who drives an FTR placed the Australian Anthony West behind him, always at ease in critical grip conditions.

Julian Simon, already world champion in the eighth of a litre, also did well; the Team Blusens Avintia driver took his Suter to fourth position ahead of that of the British Gino Rea. But the biggest surprise was the wild card Alex Marinelarena who closed the session with the sixth fastest time aboard his Team Motorsport Suter.

Behind him we find Polyccio Espargarò, with the Kalex of Team Pons. In the championship, the Spaniard trails Marc Marquez by 53 points, who finished ninth, also behind Finnish Mika Kallio's Kalex. The world championship leader did not want to take excessive risks in view of qualifying and finished 1"039 from the top.

Further back are the Italian drivers with Andrea Iannone (Speed ​​Up by Team Speed ​​Master) 13th, Claudio Corti (Kalex Team Italtrans) 15th, Simone Corsi (FTR Ioda Racing) 20th and Alessandro Andreozzi 24th with the second Speed ​​Up of the Team Speed ​​Master.
